Jul 30, 2025 · The Vanderburgh County Community Corrections Work Release program allows participants to continue to work while living at the corrections building. Institutions - Florida Department of Corrections FDC has 134 facilities statewide, including 49 major institutions, 16 annexes, 7 contractor operated facilities, 27 work camps, 2 re-entry centers, 2 road prisons/forestry camps, 1 basic training camp, 9 FDC operated work release centers along with 21 work-release centers operated by various private vendors. Types of community based programs covered are probation, parole, work release, study release, furloughs, and halfway houses. The Community Corrections Division is comprised of six community-based programs that provide supervision to both pre-sentenced and sentenced offenders in Orange County.
